Learning form the professional is probably the only real way you’re ever going to play the game of golf the way you want to play it. Far too many players go onto the golf course & play for the sake of playing, they don’t play to win.

Other players will take a more serious approach to golf & will invest in some good lessons so as to improve their game. They will play because they enjoy playing & one of the main reasons why they enjoy playing is because they win.

Winning is just as important as playing the game for enjoyment because who really wants to play a game they enjoy but don’t win very often. You might be glad that you’ve got good company on the course so you don’t mind playing a bad game but deep down it affects us all. Your friend wins again & again, it has to get to you at some stage.

There is also the dominant male game being played on the golf course, you may not know it but they’re all the same. We golfers are like a pack of lions on the safari sometimes; we like to show off in front of our friends. We like to give that ridiculous one liner “Nice Shot” to our friends when it obviously wasn’t. We do these things because it does come down to the dominant male condition whether we like it or not.

So the next time you’re out on the golf course, why not go out to win. See how a good winning streak will change the way you’re friends view you.
