As my mom and dad age I become more concerned with their health with each new year. My mother and father used to be such vital, healthy individuals. But these days it seems when I visit home I observe some new troubling development with one or the other of their health care.
This past year my mom developed these odd light spots whenever she was exposed to the sun for more than a couple minutes. Thankfully it turned out to be nothing serious. I found a site which explained the harmless cause of such blotches: White Spots From Tanning. This site really helped us put our minds at ease and feel more informed about the truly serious melanoma symptoms we should know.
This year my mother believes she began to experience gluten intolerance symptoms. I advised her to visit the website I linked you to in that last sentence, and today she feels much more confident to tackle the possibility of a gluten-free diet. She’s working with her doctor about it now, but we’re still not sure if my mom has Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) or not.
In the mean time, my father has developed Barrett’s Esophagus symptoms, something many more people may be suffering than they realize. While Barrett’s Esophagus isn’t necessarily deadly, it can many times accompany more serious conditions like stomach cancer and it can be an early indicator of esophagus cancer.
DISCLAIMER: While I hope my story and the internet websites I discovered to help my family in turn help you as well, note that I am not a medical doctor and you should consult with your physician before taking any medical advice from the World Wide Web.
