Thinking about getting more back spin off your wedges?  I have 3 factors that will reveal how much  backspin  you will get from your wedges  .  To stop your ball near the spin on a consistent basis, you need a good amount of backspin  on a consistent basis.

This is far more difficult than it seems.Wedge llofts and short irons have been lowered. A new rule also makes it difficult for golfers to accomplish backspin on a ball.

There is good news though!  You can still put a backspin on a ball if you already know how to swing a golf club.   However, your swing is not the only thing you need to put a good backspin on a golf ball.  You also need the right ball with the right grooves if you want to know how to get the right backspin with your swing.

So for this to work there are 3 spin factors involved. .

1.) Swing Quality-You need clean ball contact that will catch the golf clubs on grooves 3-6 and speed up through impact.

2.Secondly you need Face Grooves.Ensure that your wedge has good enough grooves. You would need loft and frictionto engage a balls cover.3 Quality  grooves aer needed to put a good back spin on a golf  ball….box grooves,U -grooves and V-grooves. Box Grooves are the best for producing the best spin. You would also get better backspin with newer and cleaner clubs.Keeping your grooves sharp would also produce better backspin.

3.Thirdly you would need golfball cover. You would need a ball soft  enough to engage the grooves of your clubface to attain the highest possible back spin.

So these are some helpful ways on how to hit a golf ball with backspin using wedges. If you want to learn more about how to play golf, or how to improve your swing click here.
