Why is the pull shot a problem and how do you solve it?

The pull shot is
somewhat of a mystery for most beginners as it is known to create some
problems for most beginners. If you are one of the ‘victims’ of the pull shot, read on and you

Things you must know about the pull shot

With a slightly different approach to hitting the ball, you can bring about the pull shot. For example, if you hit the ball from outside of the target line, you will find the ball
swerving to the left and continuing in the same direction. This is applicable if you are a right
handed golfer. The club face in this case must be pointing to the line in which the ball
travels.

The shoulder positioning is important for a player during swing. During a pull shot, you will find that the shoulder of a player turns too early during the swing. This allows the club to disorient from the body positioning.

The other thing you may want to note is the positioning of the ball. If the ball is placed too far at the left your stance, you will find the clubface moving in a closed position to hit the ball. Thus, when the ball is hit, you will find it moving towards the left.

things to do to eliminate the pull

Be sure to have your shoulders in line with the direction of the target, if you wish to eliminate the pull. If you don’t know how to accomplish this, read on for some tips here.

One of the first things for you to do is
to align the body well, which includes making sure the arms and shoulders are parallel to the
line of the target.

Ensure of having your shoulders in the best possible position, and not to the left or right
of the line of target.

One thing you must do is to ensure all the weight gets transferred from the right to the left of the body, which ensures the shoulders and hips don’t open up. In doing so, you would prevent any chances of a pull.

You must never swing with excess force. Have a relaxed stance and swing slowly.
